"We are tiny silkworms crawling on a small leaf among the branches of an enormous tree. Some men - the bravest - they reach the edge of the leaf. From the edge of the leaf, they wide their gaze over the caos. Trembling, they wonder which dreadful abyss stretches there in front of them. In the distance, they hear the sound of the others leaves of this huge tree. They feel the lymph of the tree climbing over the trunk and towards their leaf. With the heart full of dread, curved over the abyss, they shake of fear in the body and soul. There the danger begins. Some of them are overcome by dizziness and rave. Some others - full of fear - look for an answer to calm them down and pray: "God!". Some others again, they stare at the abyss from the edge of the leaf on a brave calm and say: "I like it""... la Bellezza e il Lavoro "Noi siamo minuscoli bachi che strisciano su una piccola foglia tra i rami di un albero gigantesco. Alcuni uomini, i più coraggiosi, raggiungono il limite della foglia. Di là, spingono lo sguardo nel caos. Tremando, si chiedono quale spaventoso abisso si stenda davanti. In distanza, sentono il rumore delle altre foglie del colossale albero. Sentono la linfa che per il tronco sale verso la loro foglia. Con il cuore gonfio, curvi sopra il baratro, tremano di paura nel corpo e nell'anima. Da quel momento comincia il pericolo. Alcuni soffrono di vertigine e delirano; altri, pieni di paura cercano di trovare una risposta per tranquillizzare il proprio cuore e dicono: "Dio!". Altri ancora, dal margine della foglia, guardano con coraggiosa calma il precipizio e dicono: Mi piace" .... Queste parole tratte da Zorba il Greco scritto da Nikos Kazantzakis mi sembrano descrivano al meglio la situazione di coloro che cercano nel luogo di lavoro i limiti propri e dell'organizzazione per cui lavorano. Coloro che interpretano il lavoro, luogo storicamente di fatiche fisiche e attività ripetitive ed alienanti, come luogo in cui cercare nuovi significati, individuare nuovi progetti e trovare nuovi stimoli. Quando il senso di sfida, individuale e collettiva, prevale sulla voglia di rimanere nella nostra "comfort zone" ... allora possiamo cercare la bellezza nel luogo di lavoro.
