The choice of sustainable energy solutions often leads to the perpetration of old habits lightly. The idea that new energy-saving technologies are a valid alternative must be supported by good practice for this reason. In this sense, LED is a case of low environmental impact lighting (see Article Regens Blog - Design at the taste of LED), that is often used widely but without supervision. In fact in many new devices such as HI-FI, DVD players, televisions, there is no OFF button, but only the stand-by mode, indicated by a LED light. So that each unit remains lit even during the night causing an unnecessary employ of energy, which reaches a significant size if we consider the totality of all appliances in stand-by mode. A good tip to neutralize all such waste is always to connect new technology to classic power strips equipped with a switch, for a real and total shutdown. This means saving energy, making a difference in a global sense with a little good deed. Dov’è il pulsante OFF? La scelta di soluzioni energeticamente sostenibili induce spesso a perpetrare vecchie abitudini a cuor leggero. L’idea che le nuove tecnologie a risparmio energetico siano una valida alternativa deve essere sostenuta per questo da buone pratiche. In tal senso, il LED costituisce un caso di illuminazione a basso impatto ambientale ( vd. Articolo Regens Blog – Design al gusto di LED) che spesso viene impiegato diffusamente ma senza controllo. Infatti in molti nuovi apparecchi come impianti HI-FI, DVD player, televisori non esiste il pulsante OFF ma solo la modalità stand-by, indicata da una spia Led. Cosicché ogni apparecchio resta acceso anche durante la notte causando un inutile dispendio energetico, che raggiunge dimensioni rilevanti se consideriamo la totalità di tutti gli apparecchi in stand-by. Un buon suggerimento per neutralizzare tutti questi piccoli sprechi è sempre quello di collegare le nuove tecnologie ad una classica ciabatta provvista di interruttore, per un reale e totale spegnimento. Ciò significa risparmiare energia in senso globale facendo la differenza con una piccola buona azione.
