All the artefacts involve the use of recycled, mostly post-consumer, materials (aluminium, glass, leather, plastic cardboard etc.), treated with innovative processing techniques that ensure quality standards identical to those of virgin raw materials.

In Italy and elsewhere, there are many organisations involved in material research. In particular, as far as the materials of interest are concerned, Regenesi has entered into partnership arrangements with Matrec.
So the designers have at their disposal both an online database complete with technical data sheets and samples that can be inspected at Regenesi's art department.

All materials used, both for product manufacture and for packaging, are produced by Italian and foreign companies who can provide both supplies in the quantities and times necessary and the certification of the material itself.

Alulife® ( www.alulife.com )
Alulife® is a 100% recycled aluminium surface.
A special high-tech processing cycle is adopted to saw recycled aluminium fusion blocks into foils that are, in turn, trimmed, moulded, bent and shaped as desired. Hence, the aluminium block becomes an aesthetically precious surface, whose special texture of veins that differs in each foil, is highlighted by a process of oxidizing. Therefore the special processing mode avoids all repetitions and creates unique features in terms of wide-ranging hues, and copper, gold or silver-coloured surfaces that can be either sanded or polished.
Alulife® is 100% recyclable. As with all types of recycled aluminium, by using it we save 95% of energy, when compared to virgin aluminium.

Salamander ( www.salamanderbl.com )
The regenerated leather is produced with a highly sophisticated process. Genuine leather waste of vegetal tanning, which form 65% of the end product, are selected, prepared and defibrated. They are processed in water mixed with other all natural substances, especially fats and colouring agents, and the preparation is spread on large tables to dry. It is then pressed and, lastly, processed to ensure softness.
The regenerated leather produced by Salamander is entirely made of natural raw materials: 65% genuine leather fibres tanned with vegetal substances, 18% natural latex (extracted from rubber plants), 10% water, 5% natural fats and 2% natural colouring agents and salts.
The strong points of Salamander's regenerated leather are the guarantee of durability (10% deterioration in 10 years), colour resistance both to light and rubbing, and a smooth surface.

CartalatteTM ( www.tetrapak.it )
100% consistency
Regenesi makes use of CartalatteTM for communications, product tags, catalogues, notices, etc. Along with CartafruttaTM, it is the only type of paper recycled from the sole cellulose component of drink packs, especially fresh milk containers, which have given it the name.
The paper obtained (70% cellulose fibre content), has a natural and homogeneous colour. It contains neither additives nor bleaches, and is completely recyclable.
